// part of a soul project
How do you climb your way out of a deep ravine? Night has been falling. It falls around you both. In the distance, you see the city, people climbing into bed to tuck away together. Their lights feel just a hand's grasp away but you clutch air. If you stay here you face the elements in the dark. You're not alone....your love is beside you....but they're as scratched and torn and bewildered as you; truly you're in this ravine together.
Sometimes there's only one way out. Back the way you came. Back through the swamps and their cutting grasses. Back through all the pitfalls you ignored the signs of, forging ahead blindly, the brushes whispering... not. this. path.
We re-traverse the land now. We separate. We hold hands. Can we make it back.
